DX12 enables direct adjustments to CPU and GPU settings for improved optimization and seamless communication between the GPU and software. This could revive interest in dual-core performance, potentially making games like Star Citizen more accessible. However, unless developers leverage these gains to add more content, it might simply make the experience less challenging. A thought to ponder.

I don't believe Star Citizen will match the intensity of Crysis in terms of processing demands. Many think an optimized CPU could actually make a big difference.

The DX12 that will help is the one offering improved core load distribution along with other benefits.

I understand that could be useful, but a dual-core processor might not be ideal and the game is expected to be quite demanding.

That's clear—dual cores are generally considered outdated in modern computing.

Stay calm, I'm planning to upgrade to a dual-core processor soon.

Sure thing, 5960x and 980 are pushing my PC to its limits, but I don’t mind. Unity sounds like a mess and doesn’t work on any system. I’m pretty sure RSI could build an engine that might stress a GPU, though at least it could handle it smartly.

I suggest avoiding that product. Dual-core performance is failing. Good night, prince—may your time be brief but meaningful <3

It's safe to say McAfee will eventually stop working.

Everyone is panicking and buzzing about DX_12 while I’m hoping for only a 10% boost at most. I’m feeling the same way—can’t look forward to those discussions. Guys, does this machine handle StarCitizen? Can my PC run StarCraft II? Will I be able to play on Ultra in SC?
