General guidelines suggest DX9 for older graphics cards, DX11 for newer ones, and OpenGL as a fallback when DX or other APIs aren't supported or function properly.

Use the GPU recommended for dx9. Set DOTA 2 video quality to the minimum acceptable level. Refer to the guide at https://esportsedition.com/dota-2/best-d...ngs-guide/ for Step 3.
