I received the kryonaut thermal grease and the Corsair XTM70 package. Comparing swapping the standard paste from the AIO with these two items could make a noticeable difference before the BCF arrives. Since your PC is difficult to move, it might be wise to wait until the new drives are installed.
I wouldn’t swap the thermal paste before the BCF unless you intend to do so soon. Removing thermal grease is tough. The Corsair version seems uncertain, though it might work. I’m certain Liquid Metal offers better results. Is the Liquid Metal the right choice? It can easily cause damage. I prefer non-conductive paste to prevent over-application problems. Your CPU shouldn’t be at risk with the current configuration. The BCF and new material are just incremental upgrades. I’m concerned you might not notice a significant change since the 13900k is power-hungry. Keep your recordings using standard ILM while you wait. Streamline your testing approach—replace it together and install the new drives simultaneously.
The thermal grizzly conductance or liquid metal is quite effective. Kryon is simply an excellent thermal paste.
Great, everything will be here a day before D4 so I can finish everything! Appreciate your tips. Nice to hear you're considering the updates—just in case the new changes don’t calm your worries, I’m here for it.
Always welcome! Feel free to share your thoughts or ask more questions.
I was equally surprised by how much the BCF changed things. I appreciate you paying attention. Many people are unsure because of the warranty, and they assume Intel is perfect. It’s just a business! They often make mistakes. Great to get positive comments about this.
