During gaming, the M.2 SSD stops working in the middle.
Over the last week my Samsung SSD 970EVO 500GB M.2 stopped being detected by Steam. It only happens when I'm playing a game and the drive is off. When I open "This PC" or "Disk Management," the drive still appears. It usually starts around 3 hours into a game. I press Alt+F4 and Steam stops recognizing the drive, then I have to restart the PC for it to show again. Sometimes it takes about 10 minutes. If I play a game without the drive for 5 minutes, it works this time but it still doesn't show in "Disk Management" or Steam. After restarting, the PC won't appear at all. After using CCleaner Professional and running a health check plus registry scan, everything looks fine. I think it might be a registry issue or the drive is failing but not reporting it clearly. I'm planning to contact Samsung Tech Support to check and see if it's covered under warranty.
