Have you checked for compatibility with another mouse or controller? If the affected devices use USB, you might also test a different USB port. Sometimes the connection port really does count. Usually I link my keyboard and mouse to the closest USB port that matches the PS/2 keyboard slot.
I also use a Logitech mouse and keyboard combo on both computers, but this doesn't happen there. I've experimented with various USB ports. It seems to occur only on two different W11 machines when using the same mouse, especially during games. My friend with the identical mouse has no similar problem, though he experienced a double-click issue after his mouse fell across the floor one night. I'm really puzzled about what might be causing this, as it appears to affect just my mouse while gaming on these two systems.
Theory. When your voice or the other person's words came back at you, sometimes in a mechanical way while using Bluetooth with your phone, I wondered if similar things could happen with certain mouse and keyboard dongles that look like they belong to the computer... Maybe a bad dongle or a glitch in Bluetooth? Edited July 14, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated with more info
I usually avoid Bluetooth because I favor wired connections. When playing games, I stick to the first available wired option. If no wired choices exist, I opt for wireless. The mouse shown in the video is wired and connected via USB ports—here are some photos to provide more context. Your idea seems reasonable, though I’m not sure it’s the case here. It might be that the mouse is sticking or that something within the W11 OS is interfering with inputs, but neither explanation fits the random behavior you’re seeing with this particular mouse in any USB port during games.
It seems the USB ports might need cleaning or show signs of wear that could be causing issues.
Well, I'm not sure about the laptop issue, but the desktop stays clean while dust builds up. They usually get wiped down every few weeks and look fresh again. I just captured a photo of it, and it seems like it's in great condition. The laptop, however, was bought by a friend for work and kept in a drawer. It looks new but accumulates dust, which I clear out weekly. I'm curious though—could the mouse be sending a signal to the computer that keeps it pressed? I noticed this happening recently while playing a game, but I wasn't actively using it.
