I have two monitors and attempted to link the second one, but it still doesn't connect. I checked all the cables again (even swapped them) and it keeps showing: Cable not connected. I'm really stuck and need some guidance. My setup includes a GeForce Nvidia 1050TI and an Acer TFT 24" KG241Q Full HD Freesync.

No, it doesn't work. Disconnecting the first monitor and using that cable on the second one won't resolve the issue.

My primary screen links through an HDMI port while the other uses a DVI-VGA adapter.

I mean I'm clarifying your question. Could you provide more details?

Exactly as I mentioned, connect both screens, navigate to Windows display options and check the information displayed.
