It seems you're asking if it's feasible to use a second GPU without a noticeable performance decrease with these motherboards.

It seems the prices of motherboards aren't high enough. For Asus, the Maximus series is recommended, while MSI's Force and higher models suit x8 configurations.

For the title, using two GPUs requires nvlink or amd crossfire. These options are no longer available, and the results aren't significantly better than a single GPU during games. For real work, performance might improve only if the software allows it.

Gigabyte Aorus Master offers strong performance at a premium price, delivering up to 1.16x speed and other components at double the rate. My setup includes a budget Aorus Pro Wi-Fi with two RTX 3080 graphics and an X8/X8 configuration.

In fact, you can operate with dual GPUs without using nvlink... you don’t need to share GPU memory; I rely on my second GPU just for rendering.

Really? That's weird because that would make the nvlink useless and people would run dual 3080s and 3070s but no one does. I'll make a post asking if this is true or not, because you might be right.

It seems you're facing limitations with your graphics card setup. The card can only display one screen at a time, requiring an additional monitor. Running two screens simultaneously isn't possible. For better performance, consider using a high-end card such as a 3090.

I employ rendering tools such as Octane or Redshift. Both cards are active in use. During gaming, only one card is displayed on the screen. This is my present configuration: 2 RXT 3080 running at 8x/8x on an X570 AORUS Pro with Wi-Fi.
