Hello, I own a GE76 Raider with a 280 Watt power supply from Chicony. I purchased an additional Chicony power supply with the same 280 watt output. It was bought on eBay, but the seller sent the incorrect unit. The tip is misaligned. My GE76 requires a rectangular USB-type tip, but the one I have is round with four small holes inside.

On the back of the brick I see the following details:
chicony model A18-280p1a , UP/N A280A004P
Every time I check this information, I find units with the USB-tip I need. However, this one is round, has a slight notch on the side, and contains four holes in the middle of the tip.

I am trying to find an adapter that will make this compatible with my GE76. The wattage matches and it's from the same brand, but I can't locate an adapter tip that fits properly—one that is USB male at one end and male at the other with four round holes?

This is frustrating. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've examined many adapter kits online, showing pictures, but none fit correctly. I'm unsure what this adapter actually is. Based on my caliper measurements, the outer diameter of the round tip is about 9.8 mm.

Thanks for your help.

Would you like to know if someone can identify the tip in the picture I attached?

Plug type: 4 pin plug
Search results indicate: "power supply four pin plug types" – possibly a mismatch, but some older connectors might have been adapted.
