I recently updated my Wi-Fi drivers using Driver Doc, but my computer ignored the plug-in and didn’t show any WiFi settings. I thought the update was the problem, so I reverted it. When I returned home, the new drivers were reinstalled successfully, but now every time the issue arises I have to reinstall them from the original disc. This worked until recently when the outdated drivers became too poor at connecting, forcing me to handle this issue remotely. I’m struggling to watch a YouTube video at 144p, so please assist me. I’d rather not reinstall Windows again, but I’ll if necessary.

I would attempt to eliminate the drivers by accessing the control panel, then navigating to hardware and sound, followed by Device Manager. Choose your network adapter from the available list, right-click it, and select uninstall device. Power off your computer completely. Bring your PC to a location with an Ethernet connection and connect it there. Avoid disconnecting the wireless adapter during this process. Restart Windows if it’s connected via Ethernet, and allow a few minutes for it to boot. It should automatically recognize your wireless adapter and install its drivers—typically successful most of the time. For further assistance, feel free to ask.
