You're planning a significant PC upgrade and need to know where to install drivers. Yes, you'll likely need to uninstall all existing drivers from your current components before installing new ones. This ensures compatibility and avoids conflicts. Your changes include RAM, motherboard, GPU, CPU, and power supply—so make sure each part gets the correct driver support.

Install the HDD first, then reinstall Windows. Drivers will follow. Your board includes a CD; otherwise, consider discarding it if you're unsure.

I planned to contact Microsoft to check if they could cancel my old Windows activation and provide a new one for my motherboard, which would mean I’d need to erase my hard drive.

Turn off the key, insert the new motherboard, then switch back to the old key and start it up.

The original key I had on my PC, such as a sticker, stopped working. We returned it to Frys, who replaced it with a new one. Now I don’t know which key I have.

The operating system is Windows 7. You can access it by opening Start, right-clicking the computer, and selecting Properties.

At the driver installation stage, they'll integrate into your operating system files. No need to stress about it. If they request a folder, it's for utilities like GeForce Experience. Install those along with any other system-related utilities needed for the OS drive. The folders themselves aren't important.
