Driver update caused the Realtek Ethernet adapter to vanish.
Hey there, newcomer! Just got a fresh computer and started some motherboard updates. My board is an MSI B360M Bazooka. After updating the Ethernet card, I lost internet access and it vanished from Device Manager. When I tried to reinstall the driver, I got a warning: "Realtek network controller not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled, please plug the card." It’s confusing what to do next. Any advice or should I have swapped my Ethernet card?
Based on my understanding, the Realtek Network Controller is required for installing the driver. I couldn't find confirmation via a quick search, but if I were you, I’d try it.
I kept searching for a fix and finally uncovered the answer after a long time. Getting here was just a last option, so I had to swap out my RAM sticks for a while before reinserting them. Once done, it worked perfectly. Appreciate the help!
