I'm really struggling and almost considering discarding the whole setup. A few years ago, I purchased a new computer for my grandparents in 2018, mainly for casual use. It had an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G processor, which worked fine for a while. Over time, I upgraded the RAM from 8GB to 16GB and then to 64GB. I also upgraded the storage to 3200GB SSD and kept the older RAM modules in their device. I made sure timings were optimal, enabled XMP, and managed to get Windows 11 installed.

I encountered several problems later: graphics issues, driver timeouts during gameplay, frequent graphical glitches, and even Firefox freezing or crashing. I suspected the GPU was failing, so we exchanged parts. They upgraded to a Ryzen 5 4500 CPU, an Asus Prime B450M-A II motherboard, a Corsair power supply, and a WD Black 1TB NVMe SSD. The RAM and case were transferred from the previous model.

I purchased a used AMD Radeon RX 580 on eBay for $70, but it still caused the same issues. I tried various workarounds—updated drivers, adjusted settings, disabled features, changed refresh rates, and even bought a new GPU at Best Buy for $134.

Everything feels chaotic now. I double-checked all drivers and system updates, but temperatures remained high even when the PC was off. I’m completely lost about what to do next.

It seems like there might be a RAM problem here. All the changes you made, except for the RAM, could have affected your graphics drivers. Some false warnings might have been triggered.

It seems unclear, but the system might have been removed from a functional environment. Or there could be an issue with the setup. I do have some spare DDR4 sticks available if you need them.
