I've been attempting to synchronize two NVIDIA graphics cards, and although they functioned well for some time, I encountered an issue that left me without solutions. My setup includes an RTX 3080 and a GT 710, which I’ve managed to run six monitors on—four from the 3080 and two from the 710—for several weeks. To ensure compatibility, I updated the drivers from NVIDIA’s site for the 710, as the newest ones for the 3080 no longer work. Recently, I mistakenly activated an update in GeForce Now, which installed fresh drivers for the 3080 but caused the 710 to display blank screens. The Device Manager still lists both cards, yet shows a warning about missing required drivers on the 710. Reinstalling the latest 710 drivers resolved the issue with its monitors, but now the 3080 remains stuck with the same error and blank displays. I attempted using DDU in safe mode to clear the system before reinstalling the drivers, but it didn’t help. Could you suggest further troubleshooting steps or any driver updates I should consider? UPDATE: After updating the 3080 drivers and restarting without DDU, the 710 monitors came back online after a short pause. It seems Windows automatically downloaded an older NVidia driver (version 456.71, October 2020), which supported both cards. However, I stumbled upon a newer version—472.12 (September 2021)—that actually works with both. My search was hindered by security patches released after NVIDIA ended support for the 710’s “Game Ready Driver,” which apparently doesn’t interface properly with modern hardware. I believe you just had to install the latest compatible driver for your 710. Your 3080 likely won’t need the very newest one, and an older, matching driver should work fine. That’s a great combination! (I’m not sure you needed any extra steps beyond installing one driver) It’s now functioning properly, isn’t it? ^ So essentially, you’re using just one driver now? Because that was what I expected (and it’s good luck you support both cards)
