I own a Lenovo Ideapad 81DC with a Radeon 550. My PC crashed during a game, so I started in Safe Mode and found the issue was linked to my AMD driver. I removed it and tried reinstalling, but while installing the driver the screen would freeze around 60% and then become unresponsive. Eventually, I forced a shutdown and got a warning that no AMD drivers were installed, with a .dll file mentioned. Someone can assist if the system runs without drivers but freezes when trying to install them, especially after resetting Windows and setting BIOS to default.
Restarting windows doesn't help much and often doesn't solve anything. Consider a fresh installation instead. If you haven't already, attempt an earlier WHQL driver; avoid beta AMD graphics drivers—they perform even worse than the latest WHQL versions. When the issue recurs, capture a photo or note the details again.
