my desktop (dell vostro 3490) often shuts down unexpectedly. it stops working abruptly when using the machine. i tried the Dell pre-boot diagnostics and found no hardware issues. when i start in safe mode, it doesn’t freeze even after several attempts. i’m sure the problem lies with the Intel UHD graphics drivers. however, even after updating the driver or using the official one from dell, the issue persists. i’m currently using Microsoft Basic Display Adapter on this laptop. specifications are: processor Intel® Core™ i7-10510U @ 1.80GHz (2.30 GHz), installed ram 8.00 GB (7.85 GB free), system type 64-bit, x64 based, pen and touch not available, running Windows 11 Pro for Workstations version 25H2, and a 1 Tb HDD for storage. please let me know if you need more details. i really need my computer to function. thank you in advance.

It seems like you're considering a few troubleshooting steps. Running DDU and reinstalling Intel drivers might help with corrupted files. Using CrystalDiskInfo can verify your SSD's condition. Remember, if you lack backups for crucial data, now is the best time to create one.

It depends on the context. If you're asking about general behavior, it can vary based on conditions. For freezing issues, specific tasks or software might trigger it more often.

It began recently, and the signs point to a graphics driver issue rather than another cause. The freezing happens at precise moments, often during specific tasks. You should review the Event Viewer for detailed logs.
