Driver issue with GPU on RX590 setup
System details; Ryzen 5 5600X comes with default 16GB Corsair LPX in duel channel RM750 Corsair PSU (their newest model). Mounted on ASUS Rog Strix B550-F gaming motherboard, equipped with XFX Radeon RX590 graphics card, OC 1580MHZ, 8GB RAM. Features two monitors: one at 144Hz and another at 60Hz HDMI. All drivers are up to date, GPU runs driver 31.0.12029.10015 from 30/11/2022 (latest AMD release). The problem is that drivers frequently time out randomly, either freezing the system or triggering AMD Wattman to reset. Only the fan curve was altered; everything else remains unchanged. This occurs during games such as Factorio or GTA5, or while using software like OBS. I’m uncertain how to reproduce it—it seems unusual. I’ve tried OCCT stressing it for ten minutes without issues, ran AMD’s own stress test, and everything worked fine. Power cables are firmly connected, the unit was cleaned, and I checked for dust or damaged components. The issue began after connecting my MSI G24C6 monitor. Please assist me.
I also experimented with an older card. It didn’t seem related to the drivers. The card would freeze occasionally and Wattman claimed it would restart. The fix was lowering the clock speed by 50mHz (core and memory included) or something similar. It appears the card wasn’t fully stable anymore.
