Driver issue with AMD 0.0.0.0
Driver issue with AMD 0.0.0.0
You're facing an issue with your AMD 7900 XTX graphics card. The error indicates you're using an outdated driver version (0.0.0.0) and need a newer one. You've already installed a driver via DDU and enabled the IGPU in BIOS, but your CPU is 7800X3D. Your specs match what's required for Star Wars Battlefront II. Consider checking AMD's official support site or forums for driver updates, or try updating your BIOS settings to ensure compatibility.
It seems the iGPU was disabled for several users, though it didn’t work for yours. Some recommend checking your device manager and removing the GPU driver for your onboard graphics (not the 7900XtX).
Have you checked if installing the drivers works once you turn off the integrated graphics in the BIOS settings?
I guess its worth a try. If the iGPU is disabled then it might not install the drivers for it as its not detected. When you enabled the iGPU there is a chance that windows downloaded and installed the required drivers for you, thats why you always DDU in safe mode ( offline ) and install your own drivers so windows won't do it before you automatically while connected to the internet.
They fixed the issue by reinstalling drivers without IGPU and in safe mode. Running it this way isn't possible due to power consumption problems with two monitors; I have to switch my secondary GPU to IGPU mode to avoid overheating. It seems that pausing Windows Update and then restarting BIOS with IGPU enabled works around the time. Once Windows Update is back, a driver appears but causes any connected display to fail and breaks Battlefront. To resolve the IGPU problem, I had to reinstall drivers from AMD's site again, yet Battlefront remains unstable. I appreciate the performance and value for money compared to NVIDIA, but I wish AMD would address these issues faster.
Haha! Success achieved! Updated the IGPU pause window update, downloaded and installed the 7900xtx driver, removed all drivers with a reboot, and disabled internet access in safe mode. Cleared the BIOS IGPU setting. Now Windows updates run smoothly, and I can play Battlefront without issues. The HDR problems remain, but the system is working for basic tasks. I just wanted to confirm it’s functional enough for work.
