Absolutely, that matches what I expected. Just turn off the task manager and disable unnecessary services—no need for anything else, especially without an AMD GPU. Super straightforward!

You won't be able to remove this item, and it's not worth trying. Disabling should suffice—uninstalling isn't necessary. Probably even the revo uninstaller can't take it down.

It's included in AMD chipset drivers, so you can't remove it.

I turned it off and also disabled AMD External Events Utility, which seems like another AMD GPU driver product. I'll check if that resolves the problem. Before you responded, I tried resetting Windows to see if that would help, but it didn't. Since it remained active after the reset, perhaps the issue lies elsewhere. I'm not sure why this would be a concern now, given it's likely been running in the background for months. I'll update my approach either way.

Hi, I turned them off and stopped them from working, but the problem persisted, so I’m not sure if they’re the cause.

No way... they were disabled but still active. You must first stop them, then disable again, and set the start type to disabled as well. I didn’t explain it clearly before, but it’s just a memory for me. This is definitely your issue—this error is real. Make sure you disable it properly this time; it should resolve the problem. After disabling, restart the PC and confirm it’s not running again. Edited January 15, 2024 by Mark Kaine – clarification added.

Also remember to "open services" to reach the correct section—I don’t have that feature, and I’m not entirely sure what it refers to.
