I noticed the PC freezes with TCPIP.SYS causing the issue. I ran a driver verifier to check which drivers are causing the crash, excluding any from Microsoft and others. After restarting, the Windows 10 boot now shows a driver verification warning. The problem might be related to a conflict or incompatibility in the drivers, despite all components being updated and specs current.

The original setup that prompted me to rely on the driver verifier was a blue screen of death. I checked the TCP/IP system file and noticed its involvement.

We applied a system restore to fix the issue, yet I’m curious about the root cause behind it.

Don't start Driver Verifier. It isn't intended for diagnosing BSOD causes. If you're experiencing a crash, the dump files will reveal the problem. Using Driver Verifier is likely unnecessary. Most third-party drivers contain minor coding errors that don’t affect normal operation, but it can trigger crashes due to these flaws. The goal of Driver Verifier is to detect bugs so developers can correct them. It’s best to check for existing dump files before enabling it. You can find them in C:\Windows\Minidump. If present, move the folder to Downloads and compress it. Follow the provided steps carefully—Windows discourages modifying certain directories.

Unfortunately I moved to Windows 11 since it doesn’t crash on me, whereas Windows 10 often does. If it ever crashes, please follow these steps and share the dump file. Thank you a lot!
