dram calculator help
I have been exploring the use of the dram calculator to enhance my RAM performance. Despite carefully following all the instructions and testing various combinations, I still face difficulties in achieving stability and posting results. I would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed effectively.
My system specifications:
- Ryzen 5 1600 OC'd to 4.2GHz
- Asus b450 rog strix gaming-f
- Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200MHz CMW16GX4MC3200C16 (operating at 2866MHz is the stable limit for my CPU, but I’m unsure how this impacts using the dram calculator)
Current steps:
After installing both the dram calculator (version 1.7.3) and the Thaiphoon burner, I proceeded to the "report" section at the bottom of the post. Then I clicked "export" and selected "complete HTML report."
I opened the dram calculator with the processor details filled in:
- Memory type
- DRAM PCB revision
- Memory rank
- Frequency
- BCLK
- DIMM modules
- Motherboard
After importing the exported HTML file, I clicked both "calculate safe" and "calculate fast" buttons using the values provided. Still, no results were posted.
I’m puzzled as to why this isn’t working, since research suggests most users can get their machines to post, even if they aren’t stable. Could there be an issue with my configuration or approach?
Thank you in advance for any advice, as I’m still new to overclocking CPUs and RAM thoroughly.

Did you refresh your bios to version 3103 and ensure your chipset driver is up to date?
I hope this assists because the dram calculator isn't reliable for every kit. The results can vary based on OC RAM and often rely on the CPU's memory controller. It's also wise to start with the default frequency, reset your CMOS, and retry.
