DRAM and POST process details
Once I powered on the PC, it restarted three times at the DRAM and proceeded to save the configuration. The CPU model is i9-9900k, the motherboard is ROG STRIX z390E, the GPU is RTX 2080.
Start with a solid software update. That’s the initial version bundled with the device. Nice screenshots!
BIOS might be the problem, but you should also verify your RAM and other components against the QVL for your board. Some boards behave oddly with RAM. In short, my Asus Tuf B550-PLUS would randomly fail POST on a blank screen with no debug light, roughly every 8-12 cold starts. DIMMs worked fine; the board was returned for duplication issues and I swapped it in from QVL, but no further problems. It sometimes asked if my Blu-Ray drive and HDD might be part of a RAID setup, though after setting up it didn’t repeat the question even after changing nothing. Here’s the QVL link for your board. Even if the list shows devices, RAM can still be faulty. Timing and voltage settings might be the issue, XMP and DOCP aren’t always accurate—manual adjustment was needed.
@Guest 5150 appreciates your feedback regarding the BIOS update and QVL.
