Just played the game last night and had a great time as expected. With many threads about DA:I popping up, I thought keeping it in one place would help both discussion and finding tips. One thing that stood out was the cutscenes running at 30fps despite appearing smoother at 15fps due to some strange stuttering. But there’s a solution! You can disable Origins Online in the game’s settings, which fixed it for me—now the cutscenes are crisp at 60fps. The first few scenes after applying it didn’t work, but once you hit a few, it’s smooth all the way.
It bothers me that completing tough missions requires a gathering. The game offers limited control compared to Skyrim. The towns and cities seem dull and silent, with little interaction between characters. You can’t even move through them when people are conversing.
The main goal of DA is actually the celebration. It has always been a central framework since its beginnings.
It was my mistake that I missed the previous DA games. I just started immediately without understanding the gameplay. I believed it was a free-for-all where anyone could do what they liked, but I was mistaken.
Yeah, DA and Skyrim are quite different types of games. You should have seen some trailers. DA:I had a lot of videos before release, so many that I ended up not wanting to watch anymore because I already liked the game. If your purchase is within 24 hours, you can still request a refund from Origin.
