He shared his perspective on the matter. ^^^ In my country, things can get tough, so I sometimes take shortcuts. I pirated a movie like How to Train Your Dragon 2 even though I didn’t mean to—my local cinema said they wouldn’t release an English version. I just wanted to watch it in my own language, so I went ahead and pirated it. For games, they’re too costly for us... Sad

Not every torrent is unlawful. Although most torrenting activities are against the law, tera online stands out as a legitimate example where a torrent is hosted on the game's official site. Plus, it might have offered better performance than a regular download.

Also, popular Linux distributions include Ubuntu and ElementaryOS. I got Ubuntu quickly via a torrent in under five minutes, while a Canonical-supported download took about twenty minutes.

It's about sharing the responsibility of uploading files instead of depending solely on a server, allowing users to download content as it's shared.

Your ISP (Telstra) recently stopped all peer-to-peer sharing, regardless of whether you're using legal torrenting methods.

It's a popular peer-to-peer file sharing method. Everyone uses it. Governments, major gaming firms, Hollywood...all participate.

The game is quite old and not available on Steam. I think I’ll purchase it from a questionable website, pay the full price, and wait a week before it arrives instead of downloading it now for immediate use.

It's comparable to Tor because it's commonly employed for illicit activities, though not exclusively. Both have valid legitimate applications.
