The device shown seems to be a Windows computer. You don’t have access to it right now. Use the Media Creation Tool to download the ISO file.

It makes sense then. The virtual machine should function properly as long as you have an internet connection. When choosing the ISO option, the tool simply links to a Microsoft server and retrieves the ISO file.
