It varies based on the issue's extent... it might just be a failed BIOS flash and you can attempt another try, or it could lead to a corrupted BIOS or a damaged motherboard. The Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFi includes dual BIOS chips, which acts as a backup. Some premium boards offer a BIOS Flashback function to repair a bricked or corrupted BIOS.
Use the USB drive with the FAT32 file system—it's straightforward and compatible with most devices. If you can't get it to FAT32 on your Mac, try exFAT; it works better for SD cards and similar storage. Pull the zip files onto the drive, then in BIOS you should find an option to update the firmware. Choose the file from a list or let the system detect it automatically. After selecting, click update and it should finish in about a minute or two.
Thank you. Is the formatting on your Windows system automatically set for Fat32? Your USB drive is indeed in Fat32 format, but if you're unsure, checking a tutorial might help.
There’s no automatic formatting applied since using a format would destroy the data stored on the USB drive. Simply right-click the USB drive letter, choose Format, and you’ll see the available options. In Windows 7, this process appears as shown (see picture). I selected NTFS because that’s the current format, but you can also pick FAT32 or exFAT. Keep in mind that Windows might prevent choosing FAT32 for drives larger than 32 GB. If it’s already formatted as fat32, don’t change it—just unzip the contents and proceed.
Your Mac's stick indicates it supports the correct format, which is good. However, you should still verify compatibility with your system and follow any installation guidelines to avoid issues.
