Download the latest BIOS update for your new PC.
Hello, I’ve gathered all the components needed for my first PC build. The motherboard and CPU match, but the BIOS version differs. I have a GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS PRO WIFI and an Intel i5-9500. I need to download BIOS Version 9, but only a Mac is available. Should I keep everything in one folder or extract them? I’m not sure if all three are necessary. Please let me know for reference—I’ll send a picture. This should be under the appropriate topic, but I’m a bit unsure. Thanks!
Keep them exactly as is and let them stay put. This way it won’t try to modify anything it doesn’t recognize. If it asks for a zip, it will use that method. If it rejects, add the "extracted" folder and it should work fine. It’ll function properly once you’re in the BIOS during the update process.
The bios needs just the .f9 file; the other two are Windows-only. It will only update when it locates a readable file.
Certainly! Let me know if there are any concerns about missing files or potential issues during the update.
Having both choices available is harmless. It will choose only what it truly understands how to handle.
