I understand you're experiencing connectivity beyond the typical range.

Check the ping from your ISP first, then compare with the server's response.

Well, if you have high ping to your ISP you'll also have high ping to the game servers as traffic first goes through your ISP then to the game server. It's possible to have good ping to your ISP, but bad ping to the game servers. I have about 10ms ping to ISP but in games like PUBG I get 200-300ms ping because they shut down Oceania servers and Aussies have to connect to Asia or USA servers which are much further away. Nothing can really be done because it just comes down to where the games servers are located. Further away they are, the higher the ping will be.

Yes, 100 ms ping is generally acceptable for a smooth experience in PUGB.

Generally speeds under 100 ms are acceptable, though at 60fps that adds about six frames from your connection time plus local and server delays. Aim for less than 50 would be ideal. For gaming, bandwidth is less critical as long as it isn’t overwhelmed by other devices on the network. CPU usage of your router matters too—each connected device consumes a bit of processing power, so with many active sessions an older single-core router might lag, increasing ping time.

Shroud receives a 63ms ping, but his performance remains strong despite it. That’s impressive! Everyone agrees it’s solid. Great job!

This applies beyond networking and often focuses on requirements like 144hz displays, 1ms latency, wired devices, but in practice it rarely matters—often unnoticeable. Up to 100ms is usually acceptable.
