My downloads in Chrome are running very slowly. I used Free Download Manager before some recent updates revealed its Linux servers were being hacked, so I stopped using it. Now I rely on Chrome, but speeds drop significantly—below 10MB/s for most of the downloads. I enabled Parallel Downloads in Chrome settings, but that didn’t fix the problem. With Download Manager, speeds average around 30-31 MB/s, while Chrome drops to under 10MB/s for about 90% of downloads. Is there any additional setting beyond Parallel Downloads that could help? My connection is solid at 250Mbps, and services like Steam and Origin still deliver full speeds.

Consider removing and reinstalling Chrome. Disable unused extensions first, then reintroduce them individually to identify the culprit. Check if similar issues occur in another browser. Speed tests reveal latency data for both loading and unloading phases. Look at the details displayed when you click "show more info." Also, note that not all servers can deliver full upload speeds due to factors beyond your control, like server limits, overload, or network congestion.
