Hey there, I have a rather odd issue that I've run into with my new build. Whenever i go to download anything my download speed throttles down to 10 mb/s. I have it hooked up Ethernet and have other devices like my Xbox hooked up as well. every thing else runs up to 75 to 100 mb/s as it normal does. I've run system checks and see that it says network is at 100% load. although i can do things like stream 4k and game online without the slightest bottleneck. Ran out of ideas on what could be causing this....
This might seem unusual, but have you attempted to link another Ethernet cable to the computer? Older or faulty cables can greatly reduce performance.
I believe I should attempt to re-download it and check the improvement.
Just my thoughts... Your network is fully loaded when downloading could suggest the motherboard or drivers are the issue. Trying a different network card might help; using your Xbox cable for testing can confirm if the problem is with the cable or the network. Other possible slowdowns include a slow or nearly full drive, which can affect performance. Streaming 4K and playing online on Xbox vs PC depends on what device you're using—Xbox handles it directly, while your PC manages the download.
