Looking for the best and safest method to get the Battle Royale mod in Arma 3. There are many options online, but always choose reputable sources to avoid scams.

I believe you save the file and place it in the addons folder. The download link isn’t immediately obvious.

There are multiple approaches to this task, each equally valid. I’ll only mention two, since each mod manager has its own guidelines.

1. Visit Steam Workshop, locate the desired mod, and subscribe. Then open the ARMA 3 launcher by right-clicking the game in your Steam library and selecting "Open launcher." In the launchers mods section, enable the mod.

2. Install a dedicated mod manager such as ARMA 3 sync. Obtain the mod files from armaholic, then move the @something folder into your ARMA 3 directory within SteamApps. Start the app and follow the setup steps. Once you point the app to the ARMA 3 executable, the mod will appear in the launcher. Simply drag it from the left panel into a new folder on the right side of the app.

Additional note: Place the @thisisthemodsname folder in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3" or wherever you installed Arma 3. The application will recognize the mod without issues. Avoid placing newer files directly into the addons folder, as this can cause uninstall problems and may require a game repair.

Occasionally the mods could replace existing files, but the original game files remain intact. This can lead to a messy folder structure, making it hard to activate each mod separately. The usual solution is to use @ folders, which achieves the same without disrupting the base games. With mod managers and @ folders, I can store my mods on a dedicated drive completely separate from the main files.
