From the start of playing Dota 2, my PC has often stopped working properly, sometimes needing a full reset. Most components except the mainboard and processor behave differently, yet it still crashes. I’ve tried moving it to an SSD to check if the issue was with the old HDD, but that didn’t resolve anything. In the Event Viewer, it shows the computer shutting down incorrectly, but not the cause. Anyone else face similar issues with Dota 2 or in general? Are there common reasons or fixes you’ve tried?

You haven't encountered anything like this in Dota before, right? When did Dota get installed?

Confirmed all graphics drivers are up to date. I've reinstalled Dota three multiple times without any improvement. No alerts appear; the system freezes and only shuts down when I hold the power button. It seems consistent across different games—hardware or driver issues likely, but Dota-specific behavior suggests a game-related cause.

You're not alone in feeling puzzled. This behavior seems specific to Dota, but it could be due to game mechanics or match conditions. Try checking other games or contexts for similar issues.

He faced issues starting his Dota 2 session. You adjusted your files to create scripts such as larger mini map icons, right-click options to block or skip tutorials for new accounts, or simply proceed to match creation if needed. If that worked, just uninstall and reinstall or modify the files gradually.

I believe I've identified the problem. I'm using the Plantronics GameCom 780 with virtual 7.1 surround sound, and it's still functioning well after more than six hours of gaming. After extending to over ten hours, the issue persists.
