Online reviews suggest there might be a way to boost performance beyond what’s shown. I’ve been using the same hardware—3700x, RTX 3060 Ti, 32GB DDR4—plus Doom Eternal. Many videos confirm it runs smoothly on similar setups. I’m still seeing low FPS numbers, around 30-50, even at 2k resolution with ray tracing and Ultra Nightmare settings. I’ve adjusted settings, turned off ray tracing, boosted DLSS, but nothing changes much. Someone else’s setup looks so fast compared to mine. It seems the game is optimized extremely well, possibly even for lower-end rigs. Maybe it’s a hidden optimization or a bug? I’ve also checked other titles and none match its performance curve. My GPU stays cool, CPU usage is stable, and I haven’t noticed any drastic differences in settings. Could be a combination of factors I’m missing.

Consider reinstalling the driver. Various issues can occur during installation, leading to unusual behavior.

Did that too? I also used ddu. It only made things worse. Now I'm stuck at 30fps in-game and around 50fps in the menu. But while traveling, I spotted something that could help clarify this. Check this photo here. Look at the stats at the top left. See the GPU usage? It's always at 100%. Never hits 100%—just 98-99% under heavy load. That’s not the whole story. Take a look at the GPU temperature, it’s around 45°C. I was in that menu for 10 milliseconds and that was the peak. From experience, I know the GPU usually reaches 68°C during full load. It never goes above 50°C. I thought this might be an error from the Riva tuner stats. Setting up GPU-Z confirmed the same. The GPU usage hits 100%, but temperatures stay at a maximum of 50°C. GPU clocks go up to 1950MHz, VRAM clocks up to 1750MHz. Yet the temps remain low. What’s going on here? I’ve never seen anything like this before.

It’s not a complete failure but still shows some GPU activity rather than idle time. Check if Vsync is active in-game or through the Nvidia Control Panel (global or per app). GeForce Experience might have made adjustments for better performance. Consider disabling overlays like Steam or Nvidia’s own if you notice slowdowns. The game includes built-in stats to monitor FPS without extra software.
