Doom 2016
Doom 2016
So I just picked up a copy of the new Doom, and it is awesome! I got 20% off from https://www.greenmangaming.com if anyone is interested. I saw similar deals on G2A.com So far I'm about 2 hours into the single player campaign. The graphics are awesome, plenty of blood and gore, very fun kill animations, and challenging gameplay. The story is pretty cool as well. If you like this kind of game, you won't be disappointed! I haven't tried multiplayer yet. edit: the 20% coupon code at Green Man Gaming was DOOM20
I was excited about it, but once I discovered DLC packs on top of the base game, I chose not to bother.
If the second and third DLCs match the first, you'll pay £36 for around 9 maps, 3 weapons, 3 new demons, 3 armor sets, and a few cosmetic items. It doesn't seem worth it since the base game costs £40 alone. Adding £30 for a season pass brings you to £70 total. Multiplayer might become dull after a while, and the game could lose popularity. I'd rather play Quake Live instead.
You receive the campaign game, then skim a review. Most people ignore DLC updates.
It's not about it. The strength comes from the SP. Everyone understands that. The SP is truly exceptional.
Sorry, what's wrong? The MP isn't close to being as good as the SP. You should get DOOM for solo play, and think of MP as a nice extra feature.
You definitely deserve the chance to enjoy multiplayer more than the campaign, though few have expressed that opinion before. Most players opt for the single-player experience. It's regrettable they're focusing on the map-pack with DLC, as this approach could harm multiplayer in the future. It would have been better if it was a campaign DLC, which most fans would prefer for this title.
The solo player experience is incredibly impressive and enjoyable. I spent a lot of time exploring the levels in Ultra-Violence mode to fully appreciate them. This was my pre-order game night on May 13, 2016: The K70 Vengeance Keyboard and M45 Raptor Mouse are highlighted with red LEDs. I’m not sure why my iPhone displays them as purple.
