It seems you're confirming your plan. You can still mount the M.2 SSD without the standoff using a support like a heatsink or electrical tape for now. Keep in touch with Gigabyte support while you wait.

It's because I didn't push too hard with mine. I thought if it wasn't snug, it wouldn't fit properly on the motherboard since it could damage the layers.

You should be cautious about using electrical tape. It’s not 100% safe for this setup.

It's secure, though it won't function properly. Electrical tape can't maintain its grip when warmed up. It's likely to cause a mess. Do you really need to install the M.2 without a screw, then secure the heatsink? Your design keeps the M.2 in place.

I require the mounting bracket because in my MOBO the M.2 port is a bit high, and without it the NVMe connection fails. The biggest issue is that I've contacted several IT or hardware shops, but they don<|pad|> to have nothing like this... wow.

I applied force on it and it came off easily, like it was stuck. It seems this won't fit into the other holes. These shouldn't be taken out.

As discussed in my previous comment, it shouldn't be taken out. The heatsink fits into the 110 hole and holds the M.2 securely. You can't use the original heatsink anymore.
