Please take a look at the thread below since I have the exact same motherboard, Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro Wifi . There's a pre-installed M.2 standoff in the M2A_SOCKET in the 110 hole, problem is, I need it in the 80 . Just as the guy mentioned, I tried to remove it with my fingers and that thing is solid, I couldn't move it and began to wonder... Is it possible to remove it? I don't want to break it, any help? Do I just try harder? I'm trying to turn it anti-clockwise .
I'm not sure about what you're asking, could you check the attached image? I wonder if it needs to be turned harder in a clockwise direction. It might be stuck to the MOBO somehow.
Review your guide. (I hope I could look it up on my own, but Gigabyte blocks me from their support site. Ugh, they’re terrible.) There should be instructions for installing a M.2 SSD. Some boards come with extra brackets, while others require you to take out the one that’s already there. This one seems a bit odd—I’d assume it’s just tightened, but I’m not sure. Maybe check the back of the board for a nut or rivet you can see.
It's really disappointing to see this again since everything seems correct, but the GPU is an issue.
It's probably just misaligned like most other issues on the board. Try using pliers and giving it a push. PC parts seldom rely on locking nuts.
I understand the components on my ASUS board weren't working and the guide doesn't address them. I think it should be possible, since it works with my M.2 drive, but removing the NAND chips would be necessary for that setup.
