You're checking if your GPU temperature is within a safe range after overclocking. A max temperature of 80°C is generally considered acceptable for most systems, but it depends on your cooling setup and ambient conditions.

The highest safe temperature for a GTX 1080 is 94, 80 is elevated but still acceptable, though running it a bit cooler would be preferable.

This means the GPU is being overclocked. The temperature isn't ideal, and anything above 80°C could affect its lifespan despite performance gains. If the fans aren't already set to a custom curve, adjusting them would be necessary.

What is the base clock speed on your GTX 1080? It might be a bit high considering it's an aftermarket cooled model.
