Does your system appear to be functioning well?
Hi, I added a new GPU to my recent PC build. I switched from an Nvidia 2070s to an AMD 6900X from Powercolor. After playing some games, I wondered if this was the maximum performance I could achieve with this powerful card. I heard that in certain titles I could get significantly higher FPS, but I’m not sure if those numbers are reliable.
In summary, here are my UserBenchmark results:
UserBenchmarks: Game 150%, Desk 82%, Work 159%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X - 79.4%
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT - 194.3%
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 111.8%
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 115.8%
SSD: Kingston SA400S37960G 960GB - 95.2%
RAM: G Skill Intl F4-3000C16-16GISB 2x16GB - 66.4%
MBD: A
sus ROG ST
RIX B450-F GAMING II
I’m playing at 2560x1080 resolution and 144Hz.
My power supply is Corsair RM850 2021er Modular W (850W).
I tried the following games:
RDR2 Avg 95 fps – mostly ultra
Cod Warzone – Avg 98 fps – mostly ultra
Cyberpunk – Avg 75fps – mostly ultra
Hell let Lose Avg 50fps – mostly ultra
Assassin Origin – avg 65fps – mostly ultra
Thanks in advance and have a great new year!
It seems your 3800x isn't fully optimized with boost and PBO, which is why your 3700x scores 115% on that test. What's really driving the performance? For the 3000 series Ryzen, it's crucial to keep temperatures below 70°C or you'll see the boost throttle down—typically 100-200 MHz for every degree above that threshold.
It's definitely getting very hot, above 70°C and limiting the boost. Have you verified the temperatures? Ryzen Master should suffice. Also, look into the boost and PBO configurations in the BIOS.
It seems your RAM is not performing well enough. It might be because the XMP/DOCP settings are off or it's not using dual-channel properly. This could also account for the low CPU score.
I turned on DOCP, and the performance is improving as expected. However, CPU and GPU are still showing poor results. For Dual Channel, did I set it up correctly? Should I enable any BIOS settings for this? I cannot directly download files or access external links. However, you can check the memory details in the channels by downloading cpu-z yourself and reviewing the memory tab. For the new userbenchmark results, look for the provided link on the official website.
