The computer has HP Pavilion 15-ec2013nq and runs Windows 11 with a Realtek sound card. The issue is that no matter what I play, there are a few seconds of silence before the audio starts playing. This happens on both speakers and headphones. When using built-in speakers alone, everything works fine. I tried running the built-in troubleshooter tool as well as different versions of driver software, even the newest ones, but none of them fixed the problem. Can you help me fix this?

Hi there new friend! Just give your HP computer a serial number and go on their support site to see if you need any BIOS or OPS upgrades. Then, open the Device Manager and take out your old audio driver. Go ahead and put it back in using the newest one from HP's official page, make sure to right-click it and pick "Run as Administrator" so everything works correctly.

Thanks for replying! I'll follow your steps and write down what happens next. Edit: I checked on HP Support Assistant for BIOS updates, but it said there were no new ones. After uninstalling the audio driver from Device Manager and restarting the laptop, the problem went away. (My mistake before was using Driver Booster to update or roll back the driver version.)
