Hi everyone, I ran into a big issue - my computer kept crashing and shutting down. Then the new version of Witcher 3 came out, and I wanted to try it for the first time ever. After about three or four minutes of playing, the PC just went off. It felt like someone turned the power off. When I tried again, the same thing happened. On my third try, I checked the temperature and everything looked fine, but the game still crashed. Every single crash took about five seconds before it started up again. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. And it only happens when I want to play Witcher 3. All my drivers are updated. The game was bought on GOG. So maybe someone else has had a similar problem or can just help me out? Thanks a lot. EDIT: I tried playing GTA Online, and after about eight minutes, the same thing happened yesterday everything worked fine.

THEY FIXED IT. The trouble was a bad piece of software from Corsair called ICUE. At first, it messed up my RGB settings, but after fixing that, I started feeling really sick. I haven't touched the computer in several days and basically forgot how to tweak settings with this program. Honestly, I never expected a tool like that could cause a hard restart like this. So I deleted that useless software completely, and now everything is working perfectly again.

When I tried for the third time, my temp checks looked good but the PC still crashed. About five seconds after every crash, it restarts on its own. This tells me the power supply is probably not strong enough to handle your whole setup under load. You might borrow a spare PSU from someone else who has more wattage than what you currently have advertised so they can test if your current one can actually power your build. Speaking of builds, please list all the specs in your thread because changing specs over time makes it hard for other people to help you later.

Got the problem solved! The issue was with Corsair's weird piece of software called ICEUE. First, it messed up my RGB lighting settings. After fixing those, I got a little sick and stayed home for a few days because I didn't have time to touch PC again. Honestly, I never thought software like this could cause hard restarts. So I removed that useless program and now everything is working fine!
