Does your 1080 Ti FE have any issues causing it to run slower or have lower frame rates compared to others?
Is there an issue with my 1080 Ti FE? I’m experiencing lower frame rates than others, almost matching what my previous 980 Ti did.
My system includes: Core i7 4790k, 24GB RAM (16GB Corsair Vengeance and 8GB Kingston Fury), ASRock Z97 OC Formula ITX Mobo, GTX 1080 Ti, and an Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p monitor.
I mainly play Battlefield 1, so I’m focusing on that game. There’s someone online with a nearly identical setup in Argonne Forest who achieves around 145 FPS, while my average is 80-85 FPS and I hit about 110 FPS.
Even if I boost my CPU to 4.7ghz and my GPU to 2ghz, there’s no noticeable improvement. My temperatures are actually reasonable given the room temperature.
Should I return the GPU and wait for a different version? Please advise, as this is my first build.
The FPS you're receiving isn't specified. Did you notice the memory usage in that video? Based on the reviews, I'd anticipate around 105 FPS on average. Have you experimented with Directx11 versus Directx12?
Edit: Your CPU utilization is being discussed. You can check the details here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/com..._huge_fps/
JamesSneed is asking about the FPS he's experiencing and mentions reviewing memory usage in a video. He seeks advice on whether to use Directx11 or Directx12 and asks for CPU utilization details. He also shares that he typically sees around 105 FPS in reviews and notes performance differences between the two versions.
With Geforce Experience installed, turn off the "share" feature in the settings section. This worked well for me along with several others using 10-series GPUs. Additionally, ensure your drivers are current. Geforce Experience can automatically update and install drivers.
