Hi,
Soon I am going to buy Dell 3140 touchscreen laptop.
While looking for Windows 11 drivers for this model on Dell Support site, I notice that there are no touchscreen drivers mentioned.
There's only something called
Intel HID Event Filter Driver
RECOMMENDED
Mouse, Keyboard & Input Devices

So I suppose touchscreen comes under Input Devices.
If this is not going to be the driver for touchscreen, just in case, does Windows 11 come with default inbox driver for Touchscreen laptops?
Please confirm.
Thx.

It should come with Win 11 already installed, shouldn't it?
If that's the case, the touchscreen should function properly.

It will come with Windows 11 pre-installed. However, in my experience pre-installed Windows often includes unnecessary bloatware and trial software such as Office or Antivirus. After activation, I usually wipe the system drive, perform a clean install of Windows, and install only the essential drivers from the manufacturer's website. This is the reasoning behind asking this question.

A vanilla Win 11 installation will definitely function with that touchscreen. However, my previous two laptops, which came pre-installed with different operating systems—1x Win 10 (Lenovo) and 1x Win 11 (MS Surface)—were free from bloatware. No trial software was present.

It seems the OEM trend might be shifting at this moment.
