Hello,
I’m thinking about buying a used Dell XPS 7390 laptop. It’s running Windows 11, and I’m worried about the limited 8 GB of RAM. Will that be enough, or will I face issues? My current Dell XPS13 9350 with Win10 and 8 GB or more RAM is functioning well for me. I’m curious if performance will be similar with Windows 11 or if there’s a significant drop compared to the previous version.
Thanks for your consideration,
Steve K.

If you're accustomed to 8Gb of memory, it should be fine. An 11GB device is almost the same as a 10GB one.

You can also create a tailored cut-down version of a Windows ISO for such a machine.

Windows operates smoothly even with only half the amount of RAM, as it's the applications that might require more.

Thank you all for your feedback. I plan to explore the 7390 further and find out what it will be like.
My main worry is that many of the latest models, especially from Dell, offer a limited selection of ports such as a power jack and headphone jack. I understand using an external USB-C hub could work, but I’m concerned about missing other connections.
This is just one of my thoughts—any additional advice on choosing a new 13-inch Windows laptop would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
Steve

I highly suggest this Framework laptop, which allows you to tailor the ports exactly as needed, although it comes at a higher cost.
