Does upgrading your CPU make sense?
I'm considering whether to upgrade my CPU. I work as a 3D render artist for a game studio and also handle personal renders. My main software includes Blender, 3DS Max, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter, and I play several games. I was thinking about moving from my Ryzen 7 5800x to a Ryzen 9 5900x since I can buy one for £250, which isn't too expensive. I'm unsure if it's worth getting it now for the moment, with plans to switch to AM5 later. Upgrading would require new components like a motherboard, RAM, and CPU. It depends on whether the extra cores in the Ryzen 9 are enough or if I should wait until AM5 comes out. Money isn't the main concern, so I'm okay spending £250 now if it makes sense. Thanks!

In your present setup, you can install the latest CPU by flashing the BIOS. For better performance, consider DDR4-3600Mhz RAM with the Ryzen 9 5900x.
