I've noticed a lot of things online, like on YouTube, that claim undervolting boosts FPS. From what I understand, undervolting usually lowers performance, but in the videos I watched, it seemed to improve it. How could that happen? And what's the reason behind it?

When you supply more power than required, the device generates additional heat, which diminishes its performance. Excess heat reduces efficiency, and lowering power consumption through undervolting helps keep the chip cooler. Running cooler extends clock speeds and performance duration. That's the main idea.

However, with practices like overclocking, undervolting isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. You must verify stability, as fixed numbers don't guarantee reliability because of the variability in silicon manufacturing.

The only scenario where undervolting can enhance performance is when the component is constrained by power consumption.
