Used MSI afterburner and Valley software to push my GTX 970 to 1610mhz memory. Achieved max FPS of 177.1, min 35.6, average 110.6. Score was 4627 with temperatures ranging from 67 to 70°C. Is this a solid overclock for MSI GTX 970?

That's a really solid overclock for the GTX 970. It does seem to run quite stably.

Similar to when you run a test, does it show artifacts or stutter? If so, that indicates something is wrong. The voltage being set should not exceed 1.35 or possibly 1.35, as anything higher than that can significantly shorten the lifespan of your card. This is especially favorable if you're using stock or a lower voltage.

It appears to have not been tested with any games except Valley Software, and it seemed fine.

I never adjusted the voltage, only the GPU and memory clocks with msi afterburner.

you wouldn't miss the stuttering as much as it looks like artifacting or a full driver crash.
