Searching for a 2-in-1 laptop that fits your needs.
I’m upgrading from an old Mac that’s been around for 12 years, and I require a device with at least 6 to 8 hours of battery life.
It should handle casual RPG gaming without issues, and my Galaxy S20 can manage most tasks.
From a Mac experience, I need something capable of running the full Adobe Creative Suite for extended periods, playing music apps in the background, and keeping multiple tabs open online.
I often use Microsoft Office and want to draw freely with a stylus before converting to text.
After extensive research, I’m disappointed by most laptop options—performance is lacking despite promising specs.
I’m hoping to find something under $1500, preferably compatible with Windows, Adobe tools, and a stylus support.
Appreciate any advice!
You're looking for more than what your budget can cover. Mid-range laptops usually lack styluses or convertible designs. If your gaming needs can be handled by an S20, then the integrated GPU in a recent Intel CPU or the M1 chip on a Mac should definitely suffice.
There are actually a few options for $1500, nothing too surprising.

However, working with heavy tasks in Adobe will drain the battery quickly. You can always purchase external batteries and charge via USB Type-C if you require more power.
If you desire greater graphical performance, Apple seems to be the best choice. Used models might be more readily available than the newest M1-based ones, but I don't really advise that. The next generation M series processors are expected soon, which could lower M1 prices.
Thanks, that price was just a starting point. I'm not ready to spend $2500 on a laptop yet, but I needed to begin. How does the connectivity work with those removable keyboards? I've heard many complaints about the pins bending or losing grip. I used a wifi keyboard for my old tablet and disliked its small size and frequent disconnections.
I don't have major problems with Bluetooth these days. It seems there might not be any real docking capability on that device. It looks like it just clips in place using magnets, which should prevent wear on that part. From the top end, it only works up to this point, especially if you're looking at a 2022 laptop model.
