I received a new Asus B650E Max Gaming WiFi W motherboard today. I went through the quick start guide, but no video appears. All CPU pins seem okay and the processor heats up normally, while the fans are stuck to one of the board's RGB headers, flashing and spinning. I tested both DP and HDMI ports, as well with my graphics card. The manual advises placing 1 DIMM in the second slot, and I tried booting on each. When I press the Bios Flbk button it blinks green.

Specs:
Mobo: Asus B650E Max Gaming WiFi W
CPU: Ryzen 9600X,
GPU: RTX 3090 FE,
RAM: A-Tech Velocity 16GB PC5-44800 CL46 XMP (purchased last month before prices increased even more).

I received a new Asus B650E Max Gaming Wifi W today
Plus Ryzen 9600x
Did you verify the BIOS update before installing the Ryzen 9000 series processor into the socket?
Details: Ryzen 9600x, RTX 3090 FE, A-Tech Velocity 16GB PC5-44800 CL46 XMP
When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide full system specifications. Please list your build details as follows:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the PSU age along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.
RTX 3090 FE
I’m hoping you have a 1.2KW to 1.5KW reliably built PSU installed. If not, that’s likely causing issues.

Yes, the BIOS upgrade was successful.
Edit: It looks like the Ryzen 9600x wasn't included by default. I used the BIOS flashback instructions and updated the firmware to the current version for my board.
Should I really be using a 1KW power supply? My current setup has a 600W unit, which seems adequate so far. On PCpartpicker, such high wattage ratings are available.

Mine is 600W and appears to be functioning adequately so far.
What model, make, and age is your power supply unit? You also didn't provide the rest of your specifications.
Do I truly need a 1KW PSU?
I mentioned 1.2KW to 1.5KW, not just 1KW.

The RTX 3000 line is recognized for experiencing significant temporary load increases. Users were recommended to allocate extra capacity in their PSU wattage, in addition to opting for a well-constructed unit. Those with an RTX3080 were advised to choose a 1KW~1.2KW reliable model, while the RTX 3090 exceeded that range. If you still question this, check out Hardware Busters' analysis—they echo the same suggestions from the two reviewers I mentioned. Ultimately, we can only suggest following their guidance. Stay informed.
