Does the system fail to start following a CPU upgrade?
Hello!
My setup includes:
Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H
AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
AMD RX 460 GPU
32Gb Crucial Pro 3200 memory
Windows 10 Home 64 bit
I attempted to upgrade the CPU to an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G.
After removing the 2200G and installing the 5600G, I applied fresh thermal paste and a new cooler.
When I restarted, I saw two HDD LED flashes but nothing else.
I was advised to reset the CMOS, so I did that with a new battery and tried again.
This time there were no HDD LED flashes at all, just silence on the screen.
Then I disconnected all drives, which caused the system to load completely blank.
Finally, I swapped back the 5600G for the 2200G, reconnected everything, and the system booted immediately.
Do you think something went wrong or is the new CPU faulty?

Flayed, thank you for your response. However, I’m unable to update the bios through the app centre. It indicates that I need the most recent version of
@bios. I’ve downloaded it from the Gigabyte website and restarted my device, but the same message persists. When attempting an update via a server, only F52 is provided.
If updating the bios through the app center isn't possible, you'll need to use the Q-Flash utility instead. Check this document for instructions: https://www.gigabyte.com/FileUpload/glob...h_uefi.pdf
Flayed, thank you for the details. I've updated the bios to 56F. The procedure was completely different from what you provided. It was much simpler to use, so I'll try the processor again tomorrow.
