I just got a new PC. It's an alienware with a 3070 graphics card. I have a gsync monitor set up.
In COD:Warzone, I notice this shimmering effect on some edges and fine details. For example, on a tree branch seen through a scope, the branch will show an invisible part (or more than one) that quickly propagates down. It resembles the effect when it's hot and you're viewing something at a distance over a road or similar.
Detecting movement is crucial in the game, and with all this shimmering it becomes challenging.
What adjustments can help achieve a stable view?
Edit: Perhaps ripple would be a better description.
edit2: After reviewing similar discussions, I focused on shadows too—they are also unusual. They move and ripple on a larger scale as well.

Adjusting VSync resolved the issue. Activating DLSS and increasing available storage for texture caching also appeared to make a difference.
