Hey everyone! My cousin has a Dell Optiplex 7050 SFF and he's having trouble fitting bigger graphics cards. He asked if using an Optiplex 7050 Tower case would allow the ONW6HS SFF motherboard to fit perfectly inside, and whether the PSU would also fit. Thanks!

I admit the series of Dells can be quite challenging beyond just adding memory or a new SSD. Still, I believe even upgrading to the larger Dell case won’t prevent frustration during installation. The bigger models still face factory problems and non-standard layouts.

Would it help to salvage the device and work with its existing setup? This would allow you to maintain control over the layout.

Regardless of the solution, keep the original Dell wiring on the motherboard intact. Otherwise, the system may complain or fail to boot due to missing front panel ports like USB or headphone connectors.

Also, check if the desired GPU can be powered by the small form factor power supply—have you looked into this potential issue?

Finding an open case in my country would be really tough, and even buying something from abroad would be expensive. I looked everywhere on Google but haven’t found a clear answer yet about whether to go with the Tower casing of the same model (Optiplex 7050) or not. Thanks for your help!
